Calling Peter Ottoway
Some time ago I posted images of the same scene photographed in two different seasons (winter and spring).
When I took the original images we were living in Perth. The images were captured near Irishtown not far from Northam, which is Peter Ottaway's home base. In fact we spent many a happy hour in the York/Northam/Toodyay area taking photos.
We now live in South Africa, but are currently on holiday in Oz. I thought it might be a fun idea to get a summer version of the same scene, so we drove up on Monday to have a go. Originally there were heavy bushes on the roadside with only a couple of gaps where one could easily take shots. Now the bushes are gone and I could not identify the original vantage point, and so chose the wrong position. I will have to return again when the clouds are right and have another go from the correct position.
Other than the bushes alongside the road, the scene has also altered in that there is now much more bush hiding the ruin. Also a roof of a new dwelling is now peeping over the horizon (cloned out in Photoshop).
Anyway, I attach a copy of the file for interest.
However, I was thinking that while I am in the vicinity perhaps Peter Ottaway could provide some suggestions on other possible landscape opportunities in his area? What do say Peter?
