Tree Swallows

Unread post by Almazar80 »

I finally ended up buying an app called iBird Ultimate to help me identify birds. So now, I can identify a total of five birds. Yes, progress is slow. Here are pictures of tree swallows.

2. A Blue Bird 2

3. Bird Talk

Thanks for looking.

I really like the bird talk one, birds know how to engage in conversation with enthusiasm and that image does it justice.

Great set. The second reminds me of Al Pacino saying are you talking to me? ( I think it is Al Pacino).
The third one has great symmetry. If not for the minor differences one would think each is a mirror
image of the other.

Excellent series. That last one though takes the cake.

Thank you for sharing, Almazar80; :)

Each one these photos comes with its own story, intact. Very impressive timing of the expressions in each.
I can't choose one over the other. Well done.

Wonderful bird pictures. I love the eye contact in the second and the interaction in the third - top stuff! :)

Thank you for the comments. It was extremely luck to be able to get the third shot. I still have a lot to learn about birds and their behavior patterns. I was at Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge looking for egrets (no luck). The deer flies were swarming (they don't know what insect repellent means) and I needed to find an open sunny space. So I walked towards the end of the trail. Lo and behold, swallows. I guess you never know where opportunity will come knocking.
