Great shots guys. I'd join in but down here in Peru, I'm saying farewell to winter. :D

Interesting shots, Henry. When I was growing up, our schools used to have what we call "Annual Day", similar with some cultural activities added too. Usually it was the last day of the school before we went on a summer recess (of two months). 2,3,and 5 are my favorites in this set.

Thanks DA :)

Nice pictures, Henry - those kids look like they are having a great time!

Here is the end of summer from our holiday this year in the Hebrides, back in August. Blustery weather over the late summer 'Machair' at the Luskentyre estuary on the west coast of Harris in the Western Isles of Scotland. The Machair, or dune grass, was still rich with wild flowers even this late in August.

Excellent shot Andy. The vivid colors on the ground contrasted by that ominous sky.
Even Nature is telling us there is no such think like free lunch.

I second Surry Birma. Except I find the colours delightfully subtle.

Either way another great image. (ツ)

Out in Tom's garden today. (they are on vacation)

Love'em all DA. Especially the third one and not very typical on the forum, the first one.

Thank you Sury and DA :)

I like the trip around the garden and the last visual sips from the summer vine :)
I especially like the tomatoes - it's been a dreadful year for them here; not enough sun.

Birma wrote: It is dark on the way to work, and dark on the way home, which means autumn must be well on the way now. The bonus is that sunrise is at a more reasonable hour, and there is more chance of mist in the morning as well.

Great to see you garden is still in bloom, Sury. Love the colour in the first, with the shallow dof. :)
