Here is one from Costa Rica. The owner is a former airline employee who had it with rat race.
In his store, for a modest donation, you can borrow his paint and brush and write a message,
any message. Only thing he requests is that it maintains the decorum of civility.

Nice, Sury!

France is famous the world over for having accomplished lovers. I was walking along in Paris recently and I stumbled across this shop window display. I think it must be a shop for tourist women who want to take an accomplished French lover home with them. They can enjoy some French love anytime they want to! Oh, the French think of everything!

Not everyone can be an accomplished French lover. The French were all born with those awesome French lover genes. The rest of us must just look on in awe and hope maybe in our next life we too can be awesome French lovers!

As Humphrey Bogart said in Casablanca: "We'll always have Paris." Well, now the girls can take a bit of Paris home with them!

I wonder, do the portable French lovers inspire women to get weak in the knees and say to them: "Je t'adore, tu es mon homme, tu j'en rĂªve jour et nuit. tu es mon amour, tu es ma joie de vivre, je t'aime!"?

On the way from Fairbanks, Alaska to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska on Dalton Highway. This road is covered
with sheet of ice in winter and as you come down (foreground) a 12% gradient descent, the road turns
sharp left and you have 14% percent gradient climb. The huge trucks have to come down at a speed
that is good enough to make the sharp left AND the climb. Any slower, you cannot make the climb and
any faster, you will not make the climb. I think the moniker is fully justified and perhaps understates
the situation.

I am sure, David. :D
The older episodes of Ice road truckers show has these drivers driving on that road
day in and day out, not to mention nights too, sometime.Amazing, the nerves
of steel these drivers have.... I wish I had taken a pano of the whole vista for a
better appreciation of the gradient. It was nerve wracking driving during summer.

Sury, have not seen that sign on "Ice Road Truckers"......

Not what I expected to see in an alley in old Quebec!

Tony,
In one of the episodes I saw they showing this sign albeit all pixalated.
Interesting shot. Someone has a very whimsical sense of humor. I love
how the colors standout.

It is an annual festival that is over 300 years old. It is raucous and exciting when the floats are all out in the river being carried around with drums and chanting. Here is some info:

I have a few more photos in the Saijo Matsuri album:
