Recently I bought the Panasonic GF7 with the 12-32mm kit lens. It's the silver with tan body. The photos were taken with my a580-IR and Sigma 18-35 f1.8.

I just want to make it clear that I'm not abandoning Sony. I just have another toy that compliments my Sony collection.

Third one is the most impressive of the 3 Jeff. Love the clean lines and contrast in the third one. Very eye pleasing to me.

I recall that someone a few months ago was asking about the Panasonic GF7. Was that you?

I have handled it at the stores in Japan and it seems like a good, small, yet capable m4/3 camera. The 12-32mm pancake lens seems to be well thought of too. Here is a review of the camera:

Should be easy to keep with you all the time for those situations where you don't want to carry a lot of big gear.

Henry,yep, that was me asking. It's a great little camera. I should've bought a spare battery when I was in Lima though. I miss not having an extra. I got it for $400 which I think is a pretty decent price, especially considering it's in South America.

It's so small that it fits into my jacket pockets pretty easily and it's pretty lightweight.

#3 works best but I think there are more opportunities to show this device in shallow dof.

I choose #3 as well...Actually, the symmetrical reflection of 'LUMIX G' on the subtle wooden surface is the added charm to the overall photo. I think that the bright light source or the Sunlight was smartly allowed to bounce off of the lens+camera combo, which actually makes this a very exeptional shot.
Congratulations on your acquisition. : ) Share photos with us for sure, even if not a SONY.

Thanks Yildiz. I too like the reflection. It turned out better than I thought it would.

The first one with the lens collapsed. The second with the lens extended.

I prefer the second one. It has that artistic angle to it (with that oof strap). Looks like one of those still life pictures.

Thanks Andy. As far as resistance goes, don't bother trying. All the group therapy you're able to receive from this site is only centered around helping others break down all the emotional barriers associated with GAS. It was never meant to remove GAS itself. That requires cutting back on the sauerkraut and beans.
