Thank you for the extensive coverage of your gear management, ValeryD; :)

That bag is pretty nicely put together. Still must be getting a little heavy when the walk gets long… like when you take your dog for a beach walk. :) Nice dog and shot, by the way. I like how the background -ocean- almost dissolves into a blur, the focus being on your dog.

Thanks for sharing,
Yildiz
Well, yes, there is such a thing - it can be hard to carry a full bag. :)
But in most cases, we shooting with my wife, she had a77-2 in her hands, she mostly used a77-2 camera. I have only two cameras, the bag itself is light, so that everything is normal with weight.
We walked on the shore our huge lake that looks like the sea. At least the opposite shore is not always visible, and to look in the long direction to the north, then (more than 400 km) the coast is not visible in any weather. :)

Very nice shots Valery, I like the big sky. Fine looking dog.
Were they taken around Winnipeg Beach?

Hi Valery,
Great shots of the dancers! You’ve got that ballet timing down. :) I can easily see why the girl got the part. She has strong lines in her sauté and is showing nicely winged feet in both her sauté and her arabesque. Personally, I think that if the feet are winged too much, it diminishes the line of the legs. This girl has just the right amount.

Have a Merry Christmas, Valery!

Thank you so much for the comment, especially the professional! I look at the ballet as a great art, I either like the way dance is performed or not. I liked it in this variant, even though it was somewhat weaker than the best dancers dancing, but it was from displeasure with great feeling.

Merry Christmas to you too!

Lovely photos from the Nutcracker, ValeryD;

Sig nicely observed the dancers and their skills.:) I'll leave it to him to inform us on the reasons why dancers are selected for certain parts of the ballet as a whole. They indeed have the appearance of understudies or maybe there were many casts that dance on different days and keep the programs running and the theaters full of audiences to enjoy these ballets. Eventually, after dancing this way, they'll one day be recognized as prime dancers too, hopefully.

Your compositions are very nice.

Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas…

Sorry, I didn’t mean to start a Dance Magazine forum.

In other news… I’m enjoying the earlier photos on this thread too. I would have liked to have seen the performance of the dancers in the red tunics and pointy hats. Looks pretty cool! :D

Love the set Valery. The dark background makes them dramatic and pop.
