Interesting lighting columns in Halifax.
Beautiful and colourful town with some wonderful architecture
This is the other Sydney. From time to time there are stories in the UK media of honeymoon couples who thought they had found an amazingly cheap deal to the Sydney in Australia only to find themselves in Nova Scotia. An easy mistake to make...................!!?

Interesting set Ossie. I am wondering about the street lights. Are they decorative or functional?

Re: Nova Scotia and Newfoundland
I had planned a trip there but logistics got in the way. I hope for more images.

Here are three more images
In the old town of Lunenberg
The Lighthouse at the most easterly part of Newfoundland and the point on the North American continent that is closest to Europe actually Ireland. St John's the nearest town is approximately 4/5 hours flying time to the UK
The old town of Lunenberg has some very interesting architecture including some from the Victorian era. The image below may not be for the purists but I just could not resist playing around with this image in Photoshop and Nik filters. It looked creepy enough in bright sunshine but at night would probably not have looked out of place in some horror movie.

The Lights are an art installation. Unfortunately I do not know if they are functional or not as I did not see them at night although I see no reason why they should not be.sury wrote:I am wondering about the street lights. Are they decorative or functional?

Re: Nova Scotia and Newfoundland
Good follow on Ossie. I am curious how the 3rd one look like without the Nik effect.
Would it evoke the feelings that are orthogonal to what filter is doing though you did
mention it was looking creepy enough in the bright light?
