first colorizing attempt at B&W

Unread post by the_hefay »

I recently watched a tutorial on colorizing a B&W photo. Here's my first attempt at applying the technique. I only colorized the camera strap and the G. It's not perfect or complete, but it's a start.

Details please? What tutorial, software, how complicated was it.....

I may never try it, but who knows.

I actually once worked with an older lady who had done that for a living in the '50s and '60s for a portrait studio. Lots of time spent doing it all by hand on the b/w portraits.

Dusty, sorry about the late reply. I haven't gotten on the forum very much in the last year or so.

I used PS elements and a tutorial that I found on YouTube but have no idea how to find it again and I have no idea what I did at the time.
