This is a neighboring lake separated by lava.

Some LLamas came around to drink from Laguna Miscanti

Family at Laguna Miscanti. Typically I try to keep my travel photos "impersonal" but then.....This is the first time in 8 years we took a family vacation together. In the last 8 years, either my son or my daughter or both could not join. A trip with adult children is a different experience. Glad to have them take over when they felt their old man can't handle. :D My wife, daughter, and son from left to right as you see them.

.

The Lake, the llamas and the family in front of that beautiful mountain are gorgeous, Sury. :)
The color range of this area is amazing and very soothing, probably due to being formed by lava. Love how the llamas chose a habitat in this rather barren but most interesting place.

Thanks for sharing,
Yildiz

Been thinking about that last image for days now. It has got to be the best family vacation shot I have ever seen.
I hope the kids get a big print.

Thank you JT. The credit then goes to the tour guide who took the picture. :)

The interesting part for me was the fact that this is the first vacation where
kids(?) are all grown up and had to be treated as adults. We did not travel together
for almost 8 years one or both were always missing( due to their college and work)

The change of guard (if you will) where they are constantly on alert to ensure I don't
suffer hypoglycemia (heat and physical activity are a bane for diabetic), volunteering
to carry camera bag or the camera was both heart warming and some what "depressing".
They have become adults and matured and I have become older. :D

Proof of good parenting and character.

Or maybe they read your signature line.
