Some Images from a recent trip to Kenya staying in two conservancies, one on the equator and the other in the Masai mara.
It was an amazing if on occasions terrifying experience to see animals up close in their natural environment. Open topped and open sided Landcruisers being the means of transport and unarmed guides give no protection if you are on the menu. Only the skill and experience of your local guide to keep you safe.
The morning game drives started before dawn at 5 a.m. returning to the camp around mid-day and the afternoon drives start at 4 p.m. returning in the dark by 7 p.m.
More images from the trip can be seen on my Facebook page here:

Images shot with A77v and SAL 70-300mm G Mk1 or Sigma 50-500mm.
With reference to comments in another thread as with all my trips I carried two A77v's to avoid changing lenses in the field.
