Hi, everyone; :)

This is a place where your flower photos can find a home in the forum for seasons' flowers that you spotted and shot with whichever camera you had.

I'll start the thread with an Asian Lily in bloom taken with the veteran A100 and Tamron 90mm. This bud already blossomed last weekend and was beautiful. I'll try to share the blossoms later.

Looking forward to your sharing of Flowers and their small critters. :)
Yildiz

Love the shot Yildiz. Here is one with A77M2 and Minolta 100f4 bellows.

Tulip, I believe.

Hi ya’ll! Love these!

This lotus was about 8ft away in a deep pond. I used the 500mm mirror reflex (handheld) to get in close. The Sun had just dropped below the horizon and daylight had diminished significantly. I increased the ISO, but there still wasn’t enough light for such a slow lens and there was a lot of color noise in the image. I decided to get creative by shooting black and white instead.

I see a theme in the first three images. Nice B&W treatment Sig.
Is that Minolta Reflex?

Shooting narrow is always my theme. Maybe I should change it up and use the tripod.
Until then:

Thank you, Valery. :)

Suri, that's a lovely detail of a.... hmm, a lily, I believe. Not sure that tulips have a trumpet-like center as in your photo. :) Lovely, though.

JBTaylor, beautiful roses! I like narrow shots and lots of Shallow DoF myself, but all shots are welcome, of course.

Sig, that's almost like the X-Ray of a pond lily! Smart shooting preference. It's clear, minimal and timeless.

Thanks everyone for sharing,

Yildiz

This morning, a framing of the life cycle the Orange Asiatic Lily is going through: From left to Right: Blossom > Half Life > Seed Pod

Yildiz,
I like them all but that last one is a direct hit.
Congratulations.

Love ‘em!... and… yeah… WOW Yildiz!

Sury, yes, that’s the Minolta/Sony Reflex. I think it’s a shame that it’s been discontinued, now that there are digital cameras with good high ISO performance that will enable you to get a faster shutter speed and use it handheld in lower light.

Sig,
Thank you. I have a Sigma reflex with MD mount collecting dust. Perhaps I should give it a try given the bright summer we are having now.
I figured out the Minolta MD 100F4 bellows to get more than 50% keepers.
Yildiz,
I am impressed with the rich deep colors. Is that due to the lens + camera or any post edited. Of course, the colors are there to start with. Just curious.
