Thank you for the feedback. I fully agree with you regarding flash. I was experimenting with off the camera flash
with optical trigger. It was a learning process for me to adjust the flash power, distance etc. And it shows. Hopefully
in due time (if ever) I will learn to get that even light that I was going after though once in a while I came somewhat close
like here

Hi, Sury; That's lovely.

May I suggest a very easy remedy that I use at times when I'm shooting stills or videos? I have a white/off-white cardboard that I keep under hand for diffusing the strong flash light/spot light/any strong light and I place the cardboard at such an angle that the light is diffused to light the areas that are behind the main subject, hence avoiding dark areas behind the subject.
Even a simple A4 norm white paper you hold between your fingers to redirect light can help, nothing special or pricey is required.
Or, of course, you can go on testing your options as you wish.

Thank you. That is a great idea. Let me experiment. My flash stopped working after these sessions.
Luckily it is under warranty so it being repaired.

In meantime, I spend few hundred pictures trying to get a clean shot of sunflower. In the past, I seldom got the center portion sharp and clear. By the way this was on a bright sunny day, and I used my now defunct Godox WL flash in one hand and camera with bellows on the other hand. Needlessly complicated? Guilty as charged.

Sunflowers in the garden !
Very cheerful and nice clarity and sharpness, Sury. Composing appears to be challenging with the equipment of your choice but I like how they turned out, with the Sun as the backlight. Nice details show through the leaves and petals and whatever is residing on the seeded center is a happy buddy. Love the deep purple of the Datura type as well.

Edit: The purple flower was later identified as Datura type and is poisonous. Previously I called it a Morning Glory which is a climber and has different leaves.

Sorry for the confusion, Sury, I miss-identified the purple trumpet-shaped flower as Morning Glory.
In fact, your flower is a type of Datura and is poisonous and has different looking leaves. It's a ground level pot plant while Morning Glory is a climber.
As Datura is poisonous, it's best to keep small children and pets away from these plants.

Thank you for your comments and observation regarding purple flower is duly noted.
Will let Missus know and ask her if she knows the nature of the flower. Luckily, we do
not have small children or pets in the house (at this moment).
