Thanks Dr Harout. I have observed your site and I'm quite envious of the cultural history and colour of your country that you have displayed thru your photography. I'm setting a challenge to myself to look deeper into my own immediate surroundings. Thanks for looking.

Hello wave_wizard, :D

I enjoyed looking through your gallery as well, and must say you know exactly how to compose a frame to bring the best subject out.

Hi Steve, I know it's a bit boring to join in the chorus of "they're great", but then they're great :D . In an effort to add a bit more, the mini-beasts really grabbed my attention, and made me want to grab the bug spray and a large shoe - eeek! I can't bare to think how close you were to that spider. How big are those lawn grubs? Do they clog up the mower? The fly is great - the detail on the eyes is really fab. Perhaps I should be able to tell from the gallery, but what lenses were you using for the mini-beasts?

Hi Birma, well I know this is an alpha site but for the mini beast shots I used my Olympus c8080 wz set on super macro. Its a great 8mp camera especially using the macro settings. Its only down fall is it can hunt a fair bit when trying to auto focus. The grubs totally destroyed my lawn as they live underground and feed on the grass roots. Thanks for taking the time to look. regards Steve
