Welcome! I'm curious now about the photographic communities in your neighborhood, the "Alphanatics," cute. There isn't any such community, that I'm aware of, for the Alpha system in my neighborhood.

Thanks for the welcome wish. The "Alphanatics" were formed by the Sony People here in Malaysia. It is similar to photoclubalpha where we share our posts, outings, discussions. Feel free to drop by here: http://www.alphanatics.com :)

Hi Kamarulamir and welcome to the forum. :D
Reading your name, I thought you were from an Arab country. Coincidence maybe, but in Arabic your name has a meaning.
I'm pretty sure you're fond of the A850. That camera is on my wish list.

Go on, translate... it looks like 'lord of the cameras' to me!

Quite close. :wink:
Kamar = Moon
Amir = Prince
So, Prince's Moon (or Moon of the Prince, which is more a title. Such titles were given to respected ones). :roll:

I recognised 'Amir' but not that Kamar was Moon. I have been frustrated for the last few days - I went out four days ago, and the Moon was sitting with a perfect crescent shape, and a single star below, above Kelso Abbey in the snow with floodlights. It was too dark for the sky but the positions were perfect. The next day the sky was not clear. Yesterday it was snowing and I was miles away trying to drive home safely. Today, I went out at the right time - but the Moon position is no longer correct... so no photo.
