Hello from Miami, Florida

Unread post by mrwizard93 »

I am new to the phorum (play on Alpha, hahahaha) even though i have lurked here some and am a frequent reader of David's articles. I look forward to learning a lot from the community - I am a hobbyist with regards to photography.

Hello mrwizard93 - welcome from me. What are you taking pictures of in Miami? I'm sure we all look foward to seeing some of your pictures, and hearing your views in the discussions.

Well, lately it has just been my kids - a 5 year old girl and twin 3 year old boys. I am trying to become more adept at getting the right exposure and aperture settings while I run around after them. Anyone that has photographed kids can attest that this can be a challenge. I also lean towards portraiture although I love macro and street photography.

Miami is very diverse and there is a lot to shoot around here but I have not had the time the past 5 years to get out. Now that the kids are a bit older, I want to head out and practice some more.

And a big welcome from me too.
And yes, taking shots of kids could be quite challenging.

Welcome, Wiz!

Tried to take a shot of my littlest one this morning, and the saw the camera and ran right to it. The result was a partial of her face really close, so I know what you mean about kids.

Welcome and I hopeyou enjoy being here! :D

I'm a little late in the welcoming because there's a glitch in forums which prevents all of the new posts to show at once so I missed on this thread...

Enjoy!
