Unread post by drskn08 »

Hello David and everyone,
Myself Saurabh. I am from India. I have been shooting photographs from 2-3 years and started selling my images in stock sites from October 2011. I am almost a regular visitor to alamy forum and keep reading David's useful messages there but found this forum today...
Glad to join you all.

Hi Saurabh - a warm welcome from me :) - I'm sure we all look forward to hearing your views from India, and hopefully seeing some of your pictures. You could always cheer up those of us in NW Europe with some pictures of warm weather :) .

Saurabh, you've got to be kidding. Of course we would like to see images of India.
To visit India is on my wish list, but it is a big country and I should make careful planning to decide which places to visit first.
I would be grateful for advices.
BTW, I'm fund of ancient things and history.

Thank you Mark and Kevin
Dr Harout. You are most welcome to India. You can google before visiting India and better to ask people who have been to India. There are always some good and not so good experience when you go outside your home as you know but 2 advice i would like give you that-
(1) Don't go anywhere alone which is a distant lonely place, specially in the night
(2) Though mostly Indians are helpful for people from foreign countries but still i would say don't trust strangers blindly.
and there is whole india before you.. you will get lots of famous ancient and retro styled attractions from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. And if interested to know/see something special which are not mentioned in books or google the you can visit my state Chhattisgarh. There are many forgotten arts, sculptures, temple and architectures in my state which belong to 5-6th centuries which are not being cared by our govt.. same story for places i know from my neighboring state Odisha/Orissa.
