Rather a good buy for something out of a deep stratum excavation - heaven knows where they found these:

Maybe still left over from Spring '06 - I thought they had a few film cams at the time but can't remember what else they had on 'the spreadsheet', but I seem to remember you got some bargains [now sold?]

[mine included the 7D & 5 bodies...]

I've kept my 100mm SF and 28mm f2 but did sell the 200mm APO G Macro.

Well, wherever they came up with them, somebody had a sense of humor about the situation:

That should be worth it for the lens alone! Too bad I'm on this side of the pond. I'd like to collect a bunch of FF lenses so I can use them when I finally get to step up.

Not bad..

The 3L is too crippled for my tastes, but it's an ok price for new.
The 28-100mm isn't half bad on a a film body, it's better than you would expect. Not so good digital due to the sensor bloom thing.

On the other hand, you could get a film 5 for that price, in VGC on ebay, and it's a much better featured camera than the 3L
If it were new boxed dynax 7's, then I would have got pretty worked up about it! lol

Had to do a double take at the 3L and my Maxxum 5 on the book shelf when I followed the link. I still wouldn't mind having a 7 to shoot film again.
