Minolta SLR's Price Recovery

Unread post by Polarbear »

Is it me, or has anyone else noticed the recovery in price of secondhand Minolta SLR's. I found my Minolta 700Si had dropped dramatically some 6-8mths ago, when it was relatively worthless next to some Nikon equivelents. Not to me it wasn't! Anyway after perusing certain online auction sites, I now find that it's worth and demand has somewhat increased considerably.

Now, I am aware that we are in the middle of a recession, and that this could have had an effect on prices, but I am kind of hoping that there is what I think they call a "surge" in return to film cameras and that Minolta has once again come back into esteem?

Any points of view
