Where are the banal posts???

Unread post by physasst »

Where are all the rather mundane, chit-chat, banal postings.....

such as

"I made chili today"

OR,

"Tom Cruise is a moreon"...

just curious.

I haven't seen it, but I hear its infinitely better than the first (the first being so bad that Marvel reacquired the rights so that they could make a "Hulk" movie that wasn't awful). Besides, its got Edward Norton and Liv Tyler (helloooo beautiful elven princess!!)

Hey Kevin, I think I must of missed your camera strap post somehow....
Liv Tyler, you bet, not too shabby at all...I just did a search on another tab to refresh my memory.

What about a memory/guessing game...ie. say/quote some one-liner from a movie and see if anyone can guess what movie it was from....I can only think of a couple right now, I'm actually asleep at the moment, it's 3.40 am here.
Greg

"I'll be back"

"Ok Muggsie, we know you're in the bath, so come out clean."

"Shommmboddy ssshtopmee!"

"What do you mean you can't swim?....the fall is going too kill you"
or
"If he would just pay me what he's paying them to stop me robbing him, I'd stop robbing him."

Here is the "Camera Straps" thread I began in the middle of a night shift to generate a little activity. Who can resist a poll? I can hardly resist making them!

"Yippie Ki Yay" Die Hard

"Go ahead, make my day" Dirty Harry
or
"You feeling lucky..Punk....well do ya?"

"You can't handle the truth!" A Few Good Men

"May the force be with you" Star Wars
Now here's a new edition:

"I am a leaf on the wind--watch how I soar..."

"Nothing, nothing tra-la-la?"
or
"We ARE helping, we're helping hands!"

"ESTEBAN! ESTEBAN! ESTEBAAAAAN! ESTEBAAAAAAAN!"

"There's a girl in the garden. In the garden, there's a girl."

Well done there Kevin, a clean sweep, :)
but you've got me with yours, although a couple are scratching at the edge of memory, like the ESTEBAN one, and there is something niggling the memory about the "there's a girl in the garden" .....but no, I just can't get a recall on those...there too tough for me. :(

"Answers to life's challenges" and "I just shot a wedding"

Unread post by KevinBarrett »

Answers to my challenge follow (typed backwards):

"I am a leaf on the wind--watch how I soar..." ytinereS

"Nothing, nothing tra-la-la?"
or
"We ARE helping, we're helping hands!" htnirybaL

"ESTEBAN! ESTEBAN! ESTEBAAAAAN! ESTEBAAAAAAAN!" citauqA efiL ehT

"There's a girl in the garden. In the garden, there's a girl." daeD eht fo nuahS

So its the night shift at the hospital again and I'm looking for some forum activity. I shot a wedding yesterday that ended up being nine hours long and (silly me) I hadn't agreed ahead of time on any set length! Two batteries barely did it and I'm glad I didn't decide to shoot RAW as my 8GB card was 6GB full with XFINE JPGs. Also, I'm fairly certain my compensation was taken by the bride's mother off of the bride and groom's "money tree." Before I left, the groom's father reminded me that I'm "family" now and that the next time there's a wedding I am to come down for it...I hope he understands if my rate has increased a little by then.
