Many happy returns of the day, Kevin. :)

I had no idea that it was your birthday. 14 is a good number and April is a good month to be born in.

Enjoy!

Oops - sorry to be a day late in sending a Happy Birthday - work got in the way to such an extent yesterday that I didn't get to check the forum at all :)

Thanks everybody! It was the 15th, actually (tax day, over here in the States), and I had a good time. My wife made a really fun and simple cake, and I, of course, took pictures of it.

Lovely candles and cake, Kevin! :D

If you always choose to be behind that camera, then it's bound to appear like it was your lovely wife that's about the blow out the candles and open the birthday gift boxes! :D

Good low-light shot by the way.

Many happy returns with your loved ones, once again.

Yildiz

It's amusing to hear "many happy returns" on my birthday, because most people are filling out their tax returns for this deadline.

BTW, I really ought to learn to hand the camera to my wife sometimes. It looks like it's her birthday instead of mine!

NO! NO! never do that, just buy here another one, and she''ll let you get many accessories in no time (not mentioning lenses  )

Good point Doc! I bet an A550 would make a great birthday/anniversary/early Christmas/May Day present for your wife :) After such an amazing gift I'm sure she'd be happy to let you borrow it?
