London?
Re: London?
Wow - one of the richest countries and even cattle gets a better ride! What about pick pocketing, any worse than London, Paris or Rome?
Re: London?
Although no doubt it happens sometimes it would be a very rare occurrence compared to big cities in other countries. Japan has about half the population of the U.S. in a country about the size of California. Almost all the people live in only about 20% of Japan because the rest is mountains. The Tokyo area has about 20-25% of the population of the whole country.bossel wrote:Wow - one of the richest countries and even cattle gets a better ride! Just a quick feedback - we stayed 5 days at Ingverness Terrace corner Bayswater street - thats the top left corner of Hyde park/Kensington gardens. Very good location, you can reach many locations by foot, Queensway is just 100m away with many shops and restaurants. Two tube stations just around the corner, district, center and circle lines. We crossed the park several times, to Buckingham palace, Kensington, Oxford Street and then further on to Leicester square, Covent garden, Trafalgar sq etc. Portobello market and Notting Hill are close. Might be staying there again if we visit another time, the squirrels will be happy if we feed them again

Re: London?
Sounds like you got a very good deal and probably the best weather for this time of year you could ever have had - they would have put all the hotel prices up if they had known it would be so warm!
