Add link to photoclubalpha.com in forum

Unread post by bakubo »

There is a link to these forums on the photoclubalpha.com page. I suggest that a link back to photoclubalpha.com be added to the top of the forum page to make it easy to get there.

I'd second that - I know it's only a matter of clicks, but it would save a bit of time.

If anyone can tell me how to, I'll do it. PHP BB2 allowed HTML in the heading information. When I enter HMTL for a link in the header now, it does not show as a link - it shows as HTML. I have tried several ways round this but I can not embed a link to the site in the header. I'll have a go at making the Photoclubalpha word a link - but I bet it doesn't display correctly. Same goes for the gallery, I have been unable to make a link show correctly.

I have just put code in for a link on the header name for the forum - all this does is what you can see. The same happens in the second line.

Hi David,

If implementing codes doesn't work maybe we can have a 'PhotoClubAlpha Homepage Contents' forum, have a direct link there and enlist the article entries as topics, much like what you have done with the 'Web Content Announcements' forum on the board. This way we can just go to that forum to check what's added to the main site.

After the weekend's disaster with a phpBB3 update, I'm not messing with the installation. It is annoying that you could use URLs in the information lines for phpBB2 and not in BB3, but I do not intend to doctor the templates. I may get the entire header reworked, but not by me - I don't know enough about doing this.

How about we put the link in Sonolta's signature? That would make it even handier!
