I withdrew these from eBay when I was not sure if the 70-400mm SSM would be available.
Since then I've found that eBay charges are pretty high for items at this value.
For anyone able to pay by card directly and not by Paypal, in the UK or outside Europe (VAT will cover shipping for non-EU), I'll sell the pair for £500 inc VAT and postage.

Don't really want to sell the lens on its own as the HSM II converter has no screw drive, and does not work with SSM lenses - it's about as closely dedicated to the Sigma as the Sony converter is to Sony SSM lenses.
It's not very easy to find a Macro II HSM for Sony at the same price as Canon and Nikon - they seem to go for £599 to £699 new, and the converters for £199 to £239.
So I think the pair is pretty good value at £500.
Would take a 1.4X Sony SSM converter in p/ex.

well, if Ian wants the converter & I want the lens that would seem to solve the problem?..
alternatively, Ian - how much would you pay for the 2x as I could buy both & resell to you ?

Suggest you pm each other and work it out. My price here remains, on eBay it would have to be £570 to cover the auction and paypal costs normally involved, and I can take payment directly by credit card to avoid paypal (ideally).
Just for your info - the 2X also fits, and functions (within the limits of manual focus or AF happening when it shouldn't - which is the case with the A77, where the AF module seems to work beyond f8 if not to f11) on the Sigma 70-300mm OS lens which has an internal motor (not HSM). Unlike the other Sigma 70-300mms, the OS has the rear element well recessed and the two just mate perfectly. Another .25mm and they would not!
