All down to the problem of needing to use new equipment to keep up with developments, but also requiring certain results and performance in specific situations.
I understand the situation, have done it twice myself but with lenses. Sold it then a year later bought it again.
I have never taken a liking to NEX, maybe I'm just an old fuddyduddy but they just don't suit my style of shooting. The RX100 on the other hand is a superb compact travel camera.
I looked for an A99 in the USA but none of the local stores had them and I didn't have time to go to downtown Houston where I would have no doubt found one. Save my dosh for another day.
Only a Tamron 16-300 left sadly. Sony cannot supply what I want so rightly or wrongly I've branched out to someone who does and I'm very happy.
