Flash sync

Unread post by aachen96 »

Flash misfire; I took some photographs with my a100 using a tripod and a RC 1000 cable (which I thought was Ok by the book) recently and noticed that at times the camera fired BEFORE the flash and the pictures were underexposed as you can imagine. Was the cable at fault? The camere was in the vertical position at the time. When I took it off the tripod it seemed to work fine? Any ideas, anyone experienced this at all. Thanks Gary :(

I was on Auto - TTL / HVM - 56AM - on camera. Maybe I should look at the book again. The eyepiece wasn't covered either & it was in front of the window so I suppose that didn't help either? Only the second time I've used the Flash. gaz! :?
