Minolta still making lenses?

I was amazed when I read on Konica-Minolta's site that they are still making lenses:
Quoting:
"We are developing lenses for the latest shooting and image input devices and various other systems.
* Lenses for digital still cameras
* Lenses for PC board cameras
* Lenses for security cameras
* Lenses for projection TVs
* Sensor lenses"

Can anyone explain this? Or is it possible that lenses under the brand name of Sony are still prepared there? Or is it related to a third party?

I don't think they are making complete SLR lenses anymore, that went to Sony. they maybe making elements. sub assemblies and that sort of thing. they still make the image lenses for the photocopiers (I hate konica copiers) I don't know if they still formulate their own glass though, and they used to at one point. They make the lens on chips for cell phones and lens assemblies for the P&S market too.

I can't find it right now, but a while back I posted that I saw a KM lens on a JVS camcorder at Wal-MArt

They probably still make the actual glass bits for some of the Sony lenses - or some glass bits. It is common for lens makers to buy components in from various sources.
