Re: long macro lenses
Worst thing is Sony may have the same thinking...
Re: long macro lenses
2 years ago Paul Genge hinted strongly to me that there was a 200 macro under development ...
of course not everything under development actually makes it to production quickly (see 500/4) if at all.

Re: long macro lenses
I tried mounting an extension tube to 100-400L and the result is not that predictable.

Re: long macro lenses
you will need too long of extension tube after 200mm ... , I think only real long macro lens can achieved this task (24MP pixel by pixel...).

Re: long macro lenses
It´s a long wait though, especially for that 150!Dr. Harout wrote:I am interested in the Sigma 150 too.
Am (still) very interested in and hoping for the OS and CONV version of both that one and the 100. We´ll see...
Don´t think I´ll upgrade to the new 12-24 just for HSM, unless needing to. I´m not using the zooms at both extremes that much, and none anymore in between.

Photo taken for illustrative purposes only. Voigtlander 28/2 VM lens markings
Camera: Sony NEX-5 on focusing rail
Lens: Minolta AF 135/2.8 with Raynox DCR250 Super Macro Lens conversion. Focus distance about 10cm from front of lens conversion.

Very thin DOF - focus stacking would be essential
