Hello,

Just checked Sonystyle.com ... looks like all lens prices are higher by $50-$100. BH Photo still has old prices, buy now if you want to save some money.

Thanks
Ayan

Yikes! It's not like the European hike, but it's still significant.

I saw this heads-up this morning at DPR. I have been seriously thinking about the 70-400G. Decided to do something. B&H and Adorama still listed them at the old price but back-ordered. Amazon had one left at the old price...it's on its way

I think the A900 price went down though to $2,699.99.

I'm guessing this is where Americans are going to use the 13 dollars a week Income Tax Cut under the Obama Administration.

When can I expect The Photographers Bail Out?

Sony's 300/2.8 is now $2200 more expensive than Canon's...with the difference I could buy a 50D and a 24-105/4.

Don't worry, this viscous cycle of devaluing money and price raising has a silver lining. I saw this in Brazil in the '80s. You just wait until you get the cost of living raise to cover the devaluing dollar, then buy up old stock where they haven't raised prices yet.

We'll all soon be pawning our camera equipment for food anyway, if Obamanomics isn't derailed soon!
