85/2.8 35/1.8 24/2 MTF curves on sony Japan

I have just got the Sony 2.8/85mm SAM lens ( £198 at Jessops) ................

I no longer have a desire for a Zeiss 85/1.4, this lens will meet my needs.

+2 stops and A Zeiss, to boot! I'd still WANT it, but that winning lottery ticket keeps eluding me!

I guess Dusty, but I have the CZ 135/1.8 already, so I don't really need another Zeiss prime around that focal length. Also have the CZ24-70 which is pretty good at 70mm, but not as fast of course.

Just been out taking some photos of the partial eclipse of the sun with the 85/2.8 SAM and it worked very well.

I know how that is, David. I have a lot of things I would like to get, but have to settle for less because I always seem to have le$$! Before I was married it was different!
