That's a very interesting brochure. You can see from the MTF charts why people criticise the NEX 16/2.8. However, the contrast collapse is sudden and occurs close to the image edge and, with a 24mm equivalence, there's plenty of scope for cropping the softness out. Given the speed and construction of this lens I would say it is an under-estimated gem (possibly because it was supplied in a kit and even alone is very cheaply priced). It would be fascinating to see MTF charts of the UWA extended lens.
