Unread post by alphaomega »

Anyone with any knowledge of this lens in use preferably on a Sony E APS-C?
Details can be found on ebay UK here

Laowa 15mm f/4 full-frame UWA prime, which is billed as the World’s widest 1:1 macro lens. Offering an angle of view of 110°, the lens construction features 12 elements in 9 groups with 3 High Refractive elements and one Extra-Low-Dispersion element plus a nearly circular, 14-bladed aperture diaphragm. A shift mechanism is added to the rear end of the lens with a maximum adjustment of +/- 6mm, which is extremely useful for landscape/architecture photography (only when used on a camera with an APS-C sensor
This would provide for a (near enough) 24mm shift lens on my A6000.
The price is quite high at £399 plus VAT and duty plus collection fee to be added, but it might be the nearest thing to a 24mm shift lens on my A6000 for architecture. Question is whether it would do better than using my 10-18 E zoom and PS Cloud adjustments or even my 24-50 pancake, which is doing well on my A6000.
