Photoworld meeting 2012

Unread post by braeside »

Had a very pleasant day at the the Edinburgh PhotoWorld meeting today.

David Kilpatrick was in attendance demonstrating the latest Sony gear.

I took a few snaps with my Rich GXR plus Minolta M-Rokkor 40mm f2 lens

Daniel Oi who gave an excellent talk on 360 panoramas.

The prints exhibited by all were exquisite.

I hope that this is not the last meeting of the group, it has been an annual event for so many years.

OT: David, I have a genuine signature of Patrick Moore on one of my astronomy books, he signed it for me after a lecture he was gave in Kirkcaldy a few years ago.

Nice to see the new NEX-7 today, I am almost tempted, but am heavily invested in wide angle M mount glass which better suits my GXR. Still have the A900 for other work, but am using the GXR more day to day.

A77 shot - well, two shots, one for the room with lights on, Duncan standing at the right, and one for the image on the screen.
