I have chipped a tiny bit of plastic off of the plastic attachment that fits to the camera ( On my F56-AM )hiccup! I can use it as a wireless flash using a bit of string tied over the stand .... but thats not good hiccup! Ive asked around and it is a standard charge of £200 - and i know thats how it is but the part that has snapped would not even cost 1p hiccup!hiccup! I was going to look into a "D.I.Y" option but ive been told if i replace the bottom of the flash it will still need to be "synced" or configured - so still at least £200 !

Please people - any help would be amazing hiccup!!!

I suggest you look for an old flash of any type - even maybe a flash shoe adaptor - for the Alpha shoe, and see whether it can esily cannibalised to repair your flash yourself.

I can easily imagine you getting a used flash for less than the repair cost.
