Is it the one under the PC Sync Socket?

The camera needs to be taken apart and it can be costly.
Everything on the side as well as if the hotshoe is defective, the camera has to be taken apart.

I had my mini HDMI port replaced for $175.00 on ATG Sony SLT-A99v IR.
They gave me a discount since they modified my A99 in Infrared.
ATG say they seen many defective HMDI and USB sockets than Remote Terminal socket going bad.

ATG is now seeing Sony A7s's mini HDMI getting loose connection with ATG Atomos Shogun2 and Atomos Shogun.

If you are in USA, try contacting Alzo Digital, CT.
