Many thanks to Murph, Henry, Mike, David and Gustav. I am definitely still settling in with the new camera. The rear lcd is so much more detailed (than the A100) that it is sometimes fooling me in to thinking I have a better picture than I really do. ISO320 has more noise than I was expecting, but I expect this is just me getting used to exposing with the A700. I like most of the the controls and could use gloves relatively comfortably today. Not sure about for the focus switch (SACM) on the front under the lens mount - it seems fiddley to use. DRO is very good for indoor shots.
