as I said on get DPI, a point to the evf in bright light. We aren't thinking about the flipside of that equation, which is the evf's ADVANTAGE in LOW light. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm WAY more likely to be using my camera in low light situations, than in bright light situations. There is always the rear screen to use as well....
For those of you in the UK, northern Europe, Canada, etc. you probably will see few problems though. Still I want to check the A77 out when it is in a store because the EVF is probably good enough to not cause too many problems along with the other advantages.
certainly we need to check out the new VF - but why would users outside the youess see fewer problems

MR at LL also had this to say:
Like other cameras in this category (Nikon D7000, Canon 7D) notwithstanding what I wrote above about its holdability, this is not a camera that many would walk around with all day, unless the main task of the day was photography. The new A65, with the same sensor and EVF may in fact be a preferable camera for anyone thinking of using one of these for more casual use, travel, hiking, and similar pursuits where low weight and bulk are to be preferred.
Although I would like a smaller camera/lens system that was otherwise very good for travel I have been carrying cameras such as the A700, Canon 30D and 60D, KM 7D, etc. for years all day, everyday while walking around for hours and hours in often very hot and humid weather. I have thought that a camera the size of an A55/A65 might work, but there are always gotchas because of one or two missing things that I use a lot and also the lenses are no smaller/lighter. MR always seems to have just about every kind of new gear you can imagine, but I am always a bit surprised how much he is willing to give up to just save a few ounces. Yeah, I am used to compromises, but he usually writes in such a way that one would think he doesn't accept IQ/gear compromises much, in general.
