Exactly, "Boitier nu" can be translated like this: boitier = box but since in English it is called "body" let us stick to body. "Nu" = naked. Therefore what we have is a Naked Body... wow I hope she's young and beautiful

The lauch is on Sept 9/10 and the camera goes on sale after photokina - which matches Sept 30 exactly. So I would believe the price. That will be dependent on local VAT. I imaging the UK price will will be £2,349.50 inc VAT = £1999.50 plus VAT.

Wow, that would make it about $4000 for the body here...hmm I think I'll stay with APS-C format for now, after all. Greg

Sorry I should have mentioned Australian $ for some reason we get to pay double (on some things) what an American would pay despite the $Au being at almost parity with the $US. Greg

That fits with 1999 GBP plus VAT in the UK or 1999 Euros plus VAT in Europe. For the US, 2999 + tax is possible even though that would really be more like 1550 GBP. There is usually some differential between US and UK. There are some rare exceptions - I've just been buying a new 1TB Iomega FW800/400/USB RAID disk, and their US pricing is almost exactly the same in real value as the Euro pricing without VAT. For the UK, their hardware is shipped from Holland, and I am not charged any tax as I can enter a GB tax number. They also don't charge shipping.
Until early this year, Sonystyle shipped all European products from Holland too, but they never had the correct system for entering VAT registration numbers when you buy, so that tax would have been removed. They have now changed to shipping all UK deliveries from a UK depot and having a special Sonystyle UK store, which is good in one way (local service) but opens the door to differential pricing. Since Sonystyle's sales operation was always based in the UK, even then the warehouse and shipping were in Holland, the difference in service is maybe not great either.
