Amateur Photographer just published an interview with Sony's deputy president of digital imaging, Toru Katsumoto and senior marketing manager, Tetsuya Numata, about the Alpha 99 and RX1. One item of interest to me: although Sony is adept at making sensors with higher pixel count, the A99 was produced with a 24 mp sensor to achieve higher ISO performance and 60p video.

Does not really add much to what we know already (pushing video over stills aspect). On a side note did Toru get demoted or something? Vice president.
From the man that brought us the failed A230/380 DSLR range (still in some shops desperate to offload stock) I'm amazed he even got a job!
