Potential to hook something else up via this connector??? Tablet/Android device???
Any way some discussion of MTP/MSC setting
From a discussion on the Ztree forum

How in Ztree do I access the directories of my new Android tablet
question as the recent thread about MTP access
the operating system (Windows 7). And whether it does so depends again on
how the external device is reporting it's device type to Windows 7. So
you should look at Android whether you can change some settings
If possible you should set it to MSC
mode (and not MTP):
And here's that website's definition of MTP mode

No, I hadn't seen that story Henry. Thanks for pointing it out. I've just been checking it out on some different UK and US news sites. I had been unaware of the term "basket ball diplomacy" until now .bakubo wrote:Oh boy, did anyone see Dennis Rodman in North Korea recently? So funny. I saw him talking about the trip on TV earlier today. Oh, and I saw today that Canon has finally started making lens caps that have the tabs in the center that you can squeeze -- Sony, Nikon, Tamron, Panasonic, etc. have been making them for a long time. Took Canon long enough! Better late than never, I guess.
I had seen the new Canon lens caps thing in a couple of places. I hadn't ever noticed before that their caps didn't have this feature. As you say, better late than never.

Of course, Rodman is a joke, but he probably knows more about Kim Jung Un now than the CIA. I read that some said that they are in a bromance. Here is a video report from North Korean TV:Birma wrote:No, I hadn't seen that story Henry. Thanks for pointing it out. I've just been checking it out on some different UK and US news sites. I wonder if it was made with a Sony using multi interface accessories?
I always have the lens hoods on my lenses, but with Canon it was very difficult to use the lens cap at the same time. Most other lenses over the last couple of decades had the newer style of lens cap. I think the first time I got a lens with a lens cap that could be used with the lens hood was a Tamron I bought in Tokyo in 1996. Maybe Tamron is the company that introduced the idea. Since then most companies, except for Canon and Olympus, have adopted it. Okay, Olympus, how about it? I have a couple of Olympus lenses and the lens caps are a throwback to the 1950s.Birma wrote: I had seen the new Canon lens caps thing in a couple of places. Hey, maybe it will work! Just think about how great it would be if the violence in Afghanistan, Sudan, Mali, Yemen, Chicago, etc. could be ended with some knitted pom-pom balls!Birma wrote: Here is one of my favourite UK news stories from today http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-le ... e-21659158.
