Just had a peek across most retailers I see no stocks for many models including A and E mount ones.
Looks like Sony got caught with their pants down with the earthquake. After the major flooding problems a few years back you would have expected makers to erm well plan ahead with production in "safe" areas.
Seems the lesson wasn't learnt. Don't build factories on fault lines or in regions that flood.
Europe doesn't have many problems, wonder if they could stomach the higher wages. The cost of re-fitting a factory can't be that cheap either.

It's a good chance to spend money on something other than cameras then. Maybe take a trip?

Re: Sony cameras out of stock
Seems some stock is creeping back slowly. What is has done is ramped up prices hugely the A77II is over £900 on most sits some a little under £1000. Even s/h prices are poor on older bodies. Not a good time to buy an A mount camera
Still I wonder if they will bring out a new A77III next year seems hardly worth restarting production on a 2 year old camera
