Erebuni-Yerevan 2010
We are 2792 years old and celebrated it last Sunday, October 10th 2010.
29 years older than Rome, coexisted with cities like Babylon, Nineveh and Persepolis. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erebuni_Fortress
Armen joined us (me and my family).
So I'll post shots gradually, as I'm sure Armen will post his wonderful pictures too.

An older shot of Erebuni fortress, at the entrance

That bearded guy sure looks Hittite - but I'm fairly sure that's not right for Yerevan, was is Assyria or what?
If we can find a way to get to Armenia we plan to visit. Back in 1979, my business partner's wife was Armenian - and Yervant is Armenian, even if he was raised in Ethiopia and lives in Australia! If you don't know who Yervant is, Google... I'm meeting Yervant and Anie on Sunday (his wife is Armenian too). Mission - get Yervant to do a seminar week in Yerevan, instead of Venice which is his favourite city.

Which bearded guy? The one on the wall or the one on the avatar with a Sony in his hands?David Kilpatrick wrote:That bearded guy sure looks Hittite - but I'm fairly sure that's not right for Yerevan, was is Assyria or what?

Yervant - you mentioned once and I had his site bookmarked.
I really hope the visit would not stay as a plan or a wish. You'll love it.
