Since the Sony 70-400 G SSM has not hit the markets yet, it would be nice to make Sony listen to the votes on this specific subject. You may find similar polls on similar sites (such as Dyxum.com). Voices from different sites might change Sony's decision (hopefully).
You may opt for 2 choices. The questions are based on the ideas posted in a thread on this forum.

Re: To silver or not to silver
Is there actually any truth in saying these lenses are not black to avoid heating? I have heard this about the white Canon teles.

Irrelevant .... here in UKSonolta wrote: In theory, white paint on a camera lens does reflect heat on a sunny day better than black does.

From a darwinistic point of view, I don't understand how the English could invent the mini skirt -but I can only thanks you about that, guys!

I think you should have had a box for
"Sony needs to try again with a different color but take user input/survey"
I'm ok with them trying a different color, but I want it to be something that doesn't suck. The silver is bad, orange would be beyond bad. Without some effort to pick a good color, just stick with black, or at least white.
I own 2 white lenses, and 2 white TCs, I'm no fan of white. The paint chips of super easy (my 400G and Sony 70-200 are missing a lot of paint). The lenses stand out, which is not a good thing.

I'd be all for the use of the cinnabar color for accents, as long as it was metallic like the "a" on the front of my a700. I'm trying to imagine an orange road-cone on the front of my camera, lol.
