Feel free to add any comments, obviously raw shooters will have to either not vote, or make a choice ;-)

What about a "Don't know - never use them" option?

I have no idea...I have never used it.

Why is it that every time I look at one of these polls, the correct option is never there?

Well: we have 2 issues here:
First, jpgs from the 7D (I guess from the 5D too) are just beautiful, with a "density" of information that made me work from the MRW only when I was looking for something special and...
Second, the Dimage Master software is not a winner ergonomic-wise, and it's slow and don't work properly on Vista (I don't know about the Mac enviroment) but you can get the best of a MRW with it, much better than PS or Lightroom. It isn't the case with the desktop software provided by Sony, that is as bad as the Minolta one, ergonomic wise (you need 3 pieces of software in order to do what lightroom does) it is slow and the results aren't better than using PS -that BTW sucks processing Sony raw files

I know they (Sony) know that. I hope they will fix both issues soon.

I don't shoot jpeg with my A700 so I don't know about the quality.

If you never shoot jpeg, simply don't respond! Not sure there is much point having a poll about if you shoot jpeg or raw, this was specific in jpeg quality only.

I have yet to get a decent image out of IDC, I was thinking of dumping the thing..

Hard to do that.

FWIW, Sony forgot to respect the "Minolta Legacy" with the software: IDC doesn't support Minolta Raw files...

And I want 1080P too
;-)

Dimage master is horribly slow as you say, it's a chore for anything other than a few images at a time, but it can render pleasing images. IDC simply makes your raw files almost the same as the out of camera jpeg, so does master to a point, that's the problem..the KM jpegs are good, the Sony ones are not really what they should be.

I didn't vote, I just made a comment. Since you didn't like my comment I decided to go ahead and vote and just randomly choose one. :)

I shot a jpeg. It was awful. I cast a vote.

Change your skin!

Go to User control panel and select a different theme, not ProSilver. That will fix the screwed up CSS.
