What brand of DVD/CD media do you use for photo storage?

This one should be interesting..it might seem trivial, but with archival storage of photos being so important, one worth talking about.
I have some thoughts, that I will share later on.
If you use archival gold discs etc, you could mention that as well.

I haven't really treated backing up onto DVD disks with the respect it deserves I guess, I did backup all my photo's onto TDK disks once (one of those 50 disc containers, and I have a similar Sony one unused someplace) and only used about 10 disks at the time, Elements has been complaining for a while about needing to backup again. But my security system (unbeknown to Elements) already backs up the photos on a regular basis to the external HD, replicated twice on two separate computers, one of which only exists as a backup and doesn't get a lot of use.

HDD is always a good way to back up, though I burn CD/DVD's too, just in case.

I have found verbatim to be about the most reliable, I have not had any issues with them. I did with some Ritek ones a few years back..though they might be better now.

alas dvd & cd IS NOT a good long term storage medium

even facory music cd's lose the data stored, you just email a record (record? ok music company) say it used to work now it don't and you get a replacement! no questions asked

no sending the "not working" item back
