Photo Challenge #15 Self Portrait - Winner chosen
Didn't seem to be any restrictions on who could start one, so I did.
Break out you self timers, mirrors, and cable releases. On this challenge, it's time to turn those lenses around and see if we have any budding Andy Worhols out there. I did this "challenge" on another forum with great results. Good luck, as usual, I know that everyone will come up with good stuff....
You can submit two photos. Last day is Sept 30, 2009. Please follow the forum rules on images sizes, etc....

I like the smiling doc in the avatar better. This one looks too serious, although dressed like that you have fewer complain about your bill!
Re: Photo Challenge #15 Self Portrait
See my avatar. All other available images are far worse.

I haven't taken many self portraits, so this challenge was interesting. Here is one of me at work today. It was slow and I had to do something!!!

I'm not sure this entry is enytry is going to be allowed as it was taken with my Panasonic FZ3 (nothing in the rules about make of camera used or date taken) so enterered it anyway.
ISO 80, F4, 1/60 sec, -0.3 EV, flash fired. PP = USM, levels, darkened background.

This is me in Tanzania. I was on a camping safari for 10 weeks going through South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, and Kenya in that order.

Re: Photo Challenge #15 Self Portrait
Hi guys!
I call these photos "my-precious-style shots" ! Derived from a photo Bakubo shared in the 'My precious' thread of an other member's motorcycle thread.
When I saw Bakubo holding the camera at arm's lenght and taking his last portrait, his other photo and what he named it came to my mind in instantly.
Creative work, these are. Kevin's is like a scene from CSI NewYork; "...the cop follows the suspect with his eyes and in the next scene we see him fling the car door open, take his gun out and start running after the drug dealer who saw Agent K. Barret was closer to him than his own heart beat..."
Keep up the good work,
Yildiz
