Hi Wave_wizard,
That also is a very nice structure on stilts.

Re: Challenge 18: "On The Golden Pond"- Submissions
Some great photos already posted, and I’m not sure if I can compete with them but here goes….This picture was taken in June 2001 on a trip to Henry’s home turf, namely Hawaii. We stayed on Kauai and had a couple of spectacular sunsets while we were there. This is Poipu Beach, captured on Fuji Provia 100, with a Dynax 9 and 28-70 f2.8G and no filters. Scanned using a Nikon Coolscan 5000ED.
The second is from our recent trip to the Isles of Scilly and was captured on an A900 with 70-400G @ 400mm, 1/320sec @ f13. Again no filtration, image processed from RAW using CS4.

Fabulous golden images already.
Here are some that may fit the brief.
Sunrise over the Vasco da Gama bridge across the Douro in Lisbon. From March this year. 17-50/2.8 with, I think, a polariser.
Another morning, another sunrise. This time showing the tidal mud.
Finally, from October 2006, with the kit lens. Sunset over Toe Head on the Isle of Harris.

Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.

Here is a golden photo taken near sunset at Huntington Beach, California.
The blimp in the image is particularly relevant for a photography forum, as it is used for advertising by Fuji . . .
With best wishes,

This is Penguin Island just off the coast south of Perth in Western Australia. So named for the colony of Penguins that live on the island but in truth there are probably more Tiger Snakes in residence because it is also a Tiger Snake sanctuary. Why you would need one of those is a bit beyond me I will admit!

OK, maybe the colour is not right here, but it's definitely a golden pond! This is the water show on the lake in front of the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

Sunset on a small lake at Ashington in Northumberland, a large number of swans have taken up residence and are regularly fed by the locals

Re: Challenge 18: "On The Golden Pond"- Submissions
Here are two shots from last month in Kefalonia. Our RCI timeshare swap was a bungalow with two bedrooms, bathroom, extra WC, big living room/kitchen, and a private pool. Beyond the pool was fifty feet of scrubby grass, then a rocky shore with the sea beyond and a perfect sightline to the sunset.
Shirley's version - A700, Sigma 18-250mm at 250mm: My version a minute or two earlier relative to the final dip below the horizon, A900, 70-300mm G lens with 2X Teleplus MC-7 Digital converter, manual focus at 300mm (=600mm), one stop down at f/11 to make sure it was not working wide open: Slightly cropped from the A900 69MB file down to 59MB, mainly to improve the placing of the sun, level of the horizon, compositional shape. Radically different raw processing to Shirley's, and I have a wide range of different effects from this view including some with almost pure blue water and sky.
