Photo Challenge #28: Photo of the year.

This one is for the best photo submitted by another photographer in one of this years challenges. Please give proper photo credit to the photographer and tell which challenge it was submitted for. If the original photographer wants to withdraw a photo under consideration, please PM aster.

My Nominee is David's for the Long Shadow challenge.

While not a pic of the world's scenic beauty, this one is beautiful and speaks to me in so many ways. There is alot of subtlety in this pic that makes it great.

I've been through the challenges which wasn't hard work as it was great to remind myself of so many interesting pictures submitted in 2009 challenges. To begin with, from memory, I was thinking of Olaf's great self portrait. Other old favourites that I found where Ossie's Camargue cowboys, Murph's animal portraits (goat and dog), and Lonnie's landscapes (in particular the two with the wild flowers in the foreground).

After much consideration, and about 40 minutes trawling through all of the challenges, I would like to nominate the Doc's fantastic picture from the Long Shadows thread.

Image

My nomination is because of the great metaphor, the composition with the crowd in the background, and the history.
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.

Birma, wow, I'm shocked.
Thanks pal.

As for myself, haven't decided yet: Winston's African shot or Kingfisher's shots. :?

I told you: better if members pic one of their own pics posted on 2009 than expecting member going through all the post looking for their favorite photographs...

Mine is probably Olaf's auto portrait, or one of the less HDR's of Paul Murphy -I love most of his images, but I'm not a HDR lover...
