Hello everyone,
Show us your macro intrigue!
Time to put those newly-acquired fancy and most endeared macro lenses on your beloved cameras and take us on a joyous trip in your micro world and share what you found that we're missing in our own!
It's the year of the macro lens productions, so you have absolutely no excuse not to contribute! Feeling lazy in your comfort zone with your foamy espresso? Why not show us what those foam bubbles look like once your macro lens is directed on it under your reading lamp? It's that easy... : )
Challenge is open to all kinds of approaches, styles and creative thinking...
Enjoy
Yildiz

A tiny starter from me...
I'm not sure but I think that small spider living in my balcony has built this silken ball that has some yellow egg-like things within.

Re: Challenge #33: "Macro / Micro Intrigue"
A very intriguing "ball" Yildiz. Also an interesting pattern of light. I hope to contribute to this thread (and the Wind Blown one) but it will probably be a few days until I get some "camera time".
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.
Re: Challenge #33: "Macro / Micro Intrigue"
Thank you, Birma.
The pattern of light is due to the rusty, perforated iron sheet that the spider placed its 'ball' in. We actually see the light through the circular openings in the sheet, hence the pattern.
Looking forwaard to your entries! You have some nice macro lenses that yield exciting results with great bokeh!

My first thought was, wow, an electron trapped in an energy field but then I thought your lens is not that strong Anywy, I am not into macro, nothing really to share I am afraid.

C'est excatement ce que je cherchais, Dr. Harout!! Merci!!Dr. Harout wrote:You mean something like this?
Both are wonderful and yes, I remember the second from a little while ago. : ) Good lens, is that 30 F/2.8.
The first one is most interesting with that silken look ... I wonder which creature is responsible for such a magnificent 'sculpture' ? A spider ?
Thanks for sending,
Yildiz

Re: Challenge #33: "Macro / Micro Intrigue"
Thanks Yildiz.
It's a spider egg nest, or whatever it is called.

I downloaded to my computer to study the structure...I hope you don't mind and thanks for such an intriguing finding around the garden.
Are the tomatoes delicious, by the way? Hope to see them sometime in an other thread...

Wow - doesn't the time creep around quickly. Just squeezing this one under the wire. This has been a big 'macro' year for me with more close-ups than ever before, and my first macro lens.
Here is a macro shot, which is also a bit abstract.
Autumn Rain Drop by Birm, on Flickr
I was looking for something that had the colours of autumn, including the blue sky, and this rain drop close-up shot seemed to fit the bill. A700 with Tamron 60mm f/2.
