Hi everyone,
Welcome to our new challenge!
A suggestion presented by Birma shapes our new challenge! : "People"
Challenge #41: "Person As An Individual" is about any human being that appears as a unique individual in a crowd or in isolation. Babies, toddlers, children, man/woman of any age, any profession; big, fat, thin, small, skinny, short, tall, fashionable, classy, homeless, rich, beautiful, glamorous, dirty,..., any kind of significant individual that stands out in a crowd or rise above a circumstance.
These individuals can be performing an occupation, eating, walking, playing, shopping, performing arts on the streets, winning/losing a game or be doing anything a human being does through life but the important thing is they have to stand out with some significant feature, like the creases on the face, clothing, expressions, beauty, ugliness and any other thing you can imagine.
For example: A beggar on the street with an interesting face; A baby and his/her unique facial expressions while eating (they really can be unique) ; A person caught off guard, etc. In other words, they have to be doing or onto something significant that pertains to their age, lifestyle, size, gender, occupation, location, profession.
You can extend your imagination to any circumstance imaginable. : ) The possibilities are endless.
Good luck!
Yildiz

Shot taken at the British Museum, Sony Nex 3 with 16mm Pancake lens / UWA adaptor, 1/125s, f2.8, ISO 200
Some good shots above - love the selective focus on the boy at the stadium Kevin and Dr H's picture suggests all sorts of stories as to why the two subjects are there

Great entries already!
I wonder if these individuals had the slightest thought crossing their minds that they appeared interesting or peculiar to the individual called the photographer ? : ))

They check on the high voltage electric lines twice a year. They ride along the towers like this. He's hooked onto a guy wire and the power lines are below just out of the shot. I'm waiting for them to come back this Fall and I'll try to get a shot of his face.

This sounds like a good reason to have a photo thread. I have been pretty busy for the last few days preparing to do some traveling in Guatemala, Belize, and southern Mexico so haven't posted much lately. I have so many it takes a lot of time to choose some, but I'll quickly post a few photos though.
