Challenge #44: The Holiday Season

Unread post by Dusty »

Hello everyone!

Welcome to our new challenge. :)

Since Yildiz was under attack for her efforts in the last challenge, and since she seemed to indicate she wanted a break by her comments at the close of the last challenge, I thought I'd step in and offer my own.

As the title suggests our new challenge will cover the Holiday Season - whatever that means to you and your religion or lack thereof. It could be plays, pageants, feasts, time with family, presents, whatever.

This challenge will run until January 20th, 2012, so that there will be time for those of you who celebrate on the Julian Calendar to get your Holidays in, too!

It doesn't matter if the Holiday you celebrate is Christian, Jewish, Islamic, Hindu, etc., - or none of the previous. However, I want only entries for this Holiday season, no digging them out of the archives!

Enjoy and have fun!

Dusty

Specifications:
*Challenge #44 ends on January 20th, 2012.
*The dimensions of the photo should not exceed 1024*1024pixels. If you use the website’s attachment feature to upload your photo directly to the Photoclubalpha website’s server it would be wise to keep the size of the photo around 250 KBs, to spare some server space for the future. : )
*You may enter with as many photos as you like, however they must be taken between now (Nov 30th) and the end of the Challenge.
*PLEASE TITLE YOU PHOTOS SO I WON'T HAVE TO DURING THE JUDGING. If you don't I reserve the right to title them myself.
An a700, an a550 and couple of a580s, plus even more lenses (Zeiss included!).

What, still no pictures yet?
I'll start it off then with a selection of nativity sets from around the world on display in a local church today....

Our Christmas is on January 6th, but we were out on the 25th with all the family (sort of a prelude).
